Asking For Stars
Duet
"Asking for Stars" looks at the world of art and creation.
The inspiration for this piece was taken from a poem by Taha Mohammad Ali, an Arab Poet, living in Nazareth, Israel.
During the first scene the poem is read out, all but for one line. The line which contains the "answer".
“And so,

That the water is the finest drink
And that bread is the most delicious food\
And that there is no real value to art
Unless……"
On one stage two dancers looking for the same clear answer, the formula of "worthy art". The piece is the search and quest which lead to the understanding that the question is the true answer itself.
